Factory Machines in Ultimate Mining Tycoon
Build Shop processors from Ore Smelters to Power Core Assemblers — costs, roles, and chains.
Ultimate Mining Tycoon (Innovation Inc., developers madattak and Rolijok, Roblox place ID 18680867089, live build v0.5.13) ships 30+ factory machines that turn mined Ores and Gems into sell goods. Every processor is bought from the Build Shop on your plot, consumes complexity toward the 4,000 cap, and belongs to one of four families: metalwork, stonework, electronics, or jewelcrafting. This page is the stat-and-role database; routing walkthroughs live in Factory Chain Reference, rankings in Machines Tier List, and layout rules in Factory Layout.
There is no promo code system — machines are purchased with in-game cash (or Medals for prestige exclusives). Verify live prices in the Build Shop after patches on the Updates Hub.
Complexity cap (4,000)
Each machine, belt tile, splitter, and connector counts against your plot complexity budget. A full metal spine plus electronics through Power Core Assembler typically lands between 2,800–3,500 complexity, leaving headroom for sell expansions or a parallel gem branch. Decorative connector mazes waste budget without processing value — delete them before buying Tablet Factory or Laser Maker. Endgame discipline: Endgame Factory.
Metalwork machines
Metalwork converts raw ore into bars, plates, coils, casings, and alloy intermediates. This spine feeds every other chain.
| Machine | Approx. cost | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Ore Unloader | Tutorial | Vehicle/backpack ore onto belts |
| Ore Smelter | Early | Ore → metal bar; minimal stone byproduct |
| Blast Furnace | Early–mid | Ore → bar + stone every ore; −10% value vs Smelter (v0.5.0) |
| Stamper | Early | Bars → plates, bolts, basic forms |
| Press | Mid | Refined plates from Stamper output |
| Tempering Forge | Mid | Doubles metal or alloy bar value |
| Alloy Furnace | $100K | Two bars → one alloy bar at +20% combined value |
| Coiler | Mid | Bars/alloy → coils for circuits |
| Casing Machine | Mid | Metal → casings for magnets and Power Cores |
| Sell Point | Always | Terminal cash output for any chain |
Smelter behavior (v0.5.0+): the Ore Smelter stops processing if stone byproduct is not removed. Route stone to stonework or overflow-sell before your smelter row backs up. Blast Furnace trades metal value for guaranteed stone, which many Circuit and Electronics layouts prefer.

Stonework machines
Stonework supplies glass, ceramic, and dust paths that electronics and superconductors require.
| Machine | Approx. cost | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Crusher | Early–mid | Stone → dust |
| Kiln | Mid | Dust → glass (sheets for Circuit Maker) |
| Polisher | Mid | Glass/ceramic value polish |
| Ceramic Furnace | Mid–late | Clay/stonework → ceramic casing for Superconductor |
Typical glass spine:
Stone → Crusher → Kiln → [Polisher?] → Circuit Maker (with coil input)
Ceramic casing pairs with alloy bars inside Superconductor Constructor (~$1M). Keep stonework on a side branch so dust and casing overflow do not jam the primary metal sell lane.
Electronics machines
Electronics are the mid-to-late cash ladder — dual-input machines that merge metal and stonework products.
| Machine | Approx. cost | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Circuit Maker | $20K | Coil + glass sheet → circuit (~+100% combined) |
| Electronic Tuner | ~$8.5K | Flat value boost on electronics |
| Magnetic Machine | ~$120K | Coil + metal casing → electromagnet |
| Tablet Factory | ~$2.5M | High-tier tablet goods from circuits/alloys |
| Superconductor Constructor | ~$1M | Alloy bar + ceramic casing → superconductor |
| Power Core Assembler | $4.5M | Casing + electromagnet + superconductor → Power Core |
| Laser Maker | ~$3.5M | Optics branch; 175% bonus after v0.5.0 |
| Engine Factory | Mid–late | Mechanical sell path; 150% bonus after v0.5.0 |
| Quality Assurance | ~$2M | +20% once on untested final goods |
Full recipe order and starvation fixes: Circuit and Electronics. Never buy Power Core Assembler until Circuit Maker → Magnetic Machine → Superconductor run continuously without starving.
Jewelcrafting (brief)
Gems never touch smelters. Gem Cutter, Gem Polisher, and Jewel Assembler form a parallel factory spine beside metalwork. Mixing gems onto ore belts early causes jams — filter at the unloader. Machine names, depths, and routing: Gems and Jewelcrafting and Gems Reference.
Explosives Maker
Explosive Maker crafts factory-produced explosives from processed metals instead of buying from Madattak’s Dynamite Shack. Early and mid game, shop explosives are faster and cheaper; build Explosive Maker only when your metal spine already prints steady cash and you want self-sufficient deep-mine clearing. See Equipment for the shop explosive hierarchy.
Prestige-exclusive machines
After Prestige and Medals (starts at $20M cash), Medal purchases unlock machines that persist across resets:
| Machine | Medal cost (typical) | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Ore Upgrader | 3 Medals | Any ore → next tier ore |
| Nano Sifter | Medals vary | Dust and fine sorting |
| Philosopher’s Stone | Medals vary | Bar infusion multiplier |
| Gem↔Bar Transmuters | Medals vary | Convert gem wealth into bar lines |
| Duplicator | Medals vary | Product duplication |

v0.5.0 balance notes (still relevant)
| Change | Effect on layouts |
|---|---|
| Laser Maker → 175% | Strong side branch; still secondary to fed Power Core |
| Engine Factory → 150% | Viable mid-end sell path |
| Filigree → 20% | Situational; compare against QA and core chains |
| Blast Furnace → −10% | Pays for itself via stone throughput for glass |
| Smelter stone clog | Smelter halts if stone is not cleared — add overflow routing |
Post-v0.5.7, factory gear animations decouple from server state — verify item icons on belts, not spinning visuals alone.
Support and logistics parts
These are not processors but shape every layout:
| Part | Role |
|---|---|
| Splitter / Overflow Splitter | Balance dual inputs; dump surplus |
| Filter | Peel gems off metal streams |
| Elevator / Connector | Vertical routing — use sparingly |

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How many factory machines exist in Ultimate Mining Tycoon?
30+ processors across metalwork, stonework, electronics, and jewelcrafting, plus support parts like splitters and filters.
What is the complexity cap?
4,000 complexity shared across all machines, belts, and connectors on your plot.
Why did my Smelter stop working?
Since v0.5.0 the Ore Smelter halts if stone byproduct is not removed. Route stone to a crusher or overflow sell point.
When should I buy the Alloy Furnace?
Around $100K once your smelter-to-sell line runs without jams. It merges two bars into an alloy at +20% combined value.
Is Power Core Assembler the best machine?
It is the top endgame cash engine when fed, but only after Circuit Maker, Magnetic Machine, and Superconductor Constructor never starve.
Do prestige machines reset on prestige?
Prestige-exclusive machines bought with Medals stay unlocked across future prestiges. Standard cash machines must be repurchased after a reset.
