Guides Hub

Welcome to the Guides Hub for Ultimate Mining Tycoon, the Roblox factory-and-mining tycoon by Innovation Inc. (developers madattak and Rolijok). Whether you joined at launch or returned for v0.5.13, these guides cover every major system: the 8-layer mine, 20 ores, 11 pickaxes, 9 vehicles, 30+ machines, and the prestige loop that starts at $20M.

Each guide is written for the live game (place ID 18680867089, 71M+ visits) with internal links to tier lists, items, tools, and updates elsewhere on this wiki.

Core gameplay loop

Ultimate Mining Tycoon is not a passive clicker. You actively:

  1. Mine — Descend The Mine with pickaxes and explosives, collecting ores and gems from depth-stratified zones.
  2. Haul — Load ores into vehicles at the mine entrance and drive back to your plot.
  3. Process — Unload into factory machines (furnaces, stampers, assemblers) that multiply value.
  4. Sell — Output belts feed sell points that convert goods into cash.
  5. Prestige — At $20M+, reset for Medals and permanent upgrades like the Ore Upgrader (3 Medals).

Factory builds share a 4,000 complexity limit, so layout discipline matters as much as raw mining speed.

Getting Started

Day-one walkthrough: tutorial completion, first pickaxe upgrade, ore unloader basics, and what to buy before leaving the surface layer. Includes a video embed for visual learners.

Early Game Money

Maximize cash per minute before prestige. Covers sell-order priority, when to buy the Minidumper vs saving for machines, and common money leaks in beginner factories.

Factory Layout

Design compact processing chains without jam-prone connector belts. Explains straight-line routing, unloader sizing, and mid-game machine order through Power Core production.

Prestige and Medals

When to reset, why saving $80M for 3 Medals beats rushing a single Medal, and which prestige store upgrades pay off first — especially the Ore Upgrader.

Vehicle Logistics

Compare cargo haulers vs drill vehicles, optimize mine-to-factory round trips, and avoid unloader bottlenecks that stall Super Crawler hauls.

Mine Layers and Ores

All 8 geological layers from Surface (0m) to The Underworld (2,800m+). Depth tables, strength requirements, and where Tin through Unobtainium spawn.

Endgame Factory

Late Power Core, Laser, and QA layouts for $1M–$8M+ cash before prestige. Compact belts, gem splits, and complexity discipline.

Explosives and Obsidian

Madattak’s Dynamite Shack, C4 charges, Nuke warnings, and how to clear Obsidian walls drills cannot break.

Prestige Machines

Medal shopping order: Ore Upgrader, Philosopher’s Stone, Gem↔Bar Transmuters, Nano Sifter, and Duplicator.

Gems and Jewelcrafting

Topaz through Painite depths, Gem Cutter / Prismatic routes, and dual-spine layouts beside metal belts.

Controls

PC, mobile, and console bindings for mining, driving, factory build mode, explosives, and vehicle drill toggles — including handbrake and flip recovery.

How to use these guides

Read in order if you are new: Getting Started → Early Game Money → Factory Layout. Once cash flow stabilizes, add Vehicle Logistics and Mine Layers. Plan your first prestige with Prestige and Medals before you hit $20M so you do not reset too early.

Cross-reference the Pickaxes Tier List, Vehicles Tier List, and Ores Reference when making purchase decisions. Use the Prestige Calculator to preview Medal counts at different cash thresholds.

What these guides omit on purpose

  • Codes — Ultimate Mining Tycoon has no promo codes. See the Codes Hub for details.
  • Scripts — Third-party automation is covered separately with safety warnings on the Scripts Hub.
  • Raw data dumps — Machine recipes and full ore stats live under Items and Factory Chain Reference.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Which guide should I read first?

Start with Getting Started, then Early Game Money and Factory Layout. New players who skip factory design often hit the complexity cap or jam belts before their first prestige.

Do these guides cover prestige?

Yes. The Prestige and Medals guide explains the $20M threshold, saving for 3 Medals at $80M, and buying the Ore Upgrader.

Are the YouTube videos required?

No. Each embedded video supplements the written guide. All critical steps are in the text for players who prefer reading.

How often are guides updated?

We revise guides after major patches listed on the Updates hub. v0.5.13 (April 2026) is the current reference version.
